The "New" Show and format.

The new schedule starts on Friday 14th October at 6pm.

Expect the excellent mix of old, new and international funk mixed with local news and events from South Ribble Bourough Council and Penwortham Town Council.

Funky Fridays also has a Shetland connection and will be also linking to a few tunes from the Isles. We want to create a local show with folk who are either in Preston and South Ribble from Shetland or from Preston and South Ribble living in Shetland.

The next Funky Friday show is on Friday 14th October comming.

The show album will be The Son of Stax and will include many tracks from the album.

The Charity of the month is Chorley and South Ribble Crossroads. This charity provides care for carers, without charge or obligation.

An excerpt of the email sent to my by Marilyn, part of the Support Group

We aim to give a high quality, individual, caring and dignified service to carers and disabled people in their own homes as outlined in our NatWest bid. All our support workers attend an induction programme and care training programme including dementia/specialist training where needed.

As mentioned, C&SRC have a bid for the NatWest Community Force Award.

Further information, and the option to support them can be found here.
